Gary Scott
Gary Scott has literally grown up in the real estate and appraisal business, the son of L.E. Scott who founded the companies that would become Scott Appraisal Company and Scott & Associates, Realtors in 1957 making it the oldest real estate and appraisal firm in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Gary is Owner and managing broker for Scott & Associates, Realtors as well as a Certified General Appraiser in the state of Oklahoma. The Certified General Appraiser designation it the highest level of designation for an appraiser.
Gary has been past Vice-President of the Bartlesville Association of Realtors, has been a Director of the Bartlesville Association of Realtors, Chairman of the Multiple Listing Committee and has been active on many other committees of the local association, and a member of the State and National Association of Realtors.
Gary was a founding member of the Bartlesville Tree Committee that was formed to provide a solution to the dead and dying Elm trees that were affected by a plague of Dutch Elm Disease that ravaged Bartlesville in the 1980's. The Bartlesville Tree Committee was responsible for procuring and or planting of thousands of trees in Bartlesville, some of which have grown to a height of well over 40 feet.
Additionally, Gary was a member of the Metropolitian Area Planning Committee (MAPC) for nine years, having filled the remaining term of one commissioner, and then being reappointed twice (the maximum term permitted), and actively participated in promulgation of local rules and ordinances.
Gary and his wife Barbara have five children and three grand children.
